MicroSort: The Latest Infertility Innovation

MicroSort is the newest treatment for preventing genetic diseases prior to conception.

Like pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD), MicroSort technology also allows couples to dramatically increase their chances of having a child of a certain sex.

This feature has brought a lot of controversy to this infertility procedure, especially in the United States. The FDA has forbidden the use of MicroSort for gender selection purposes, even though it's completely safe and effective. The FDA's ethical hangups have gotten in the way of an innovative service to patients who desperately want to have a baby with a certain gender.

Fortunately, countries like Mexico and Cyprus offer MicroSort for genetic diagnosis AND gender selection, so there is still an option out there for couples willing to try this.
